Princeton, NJ — August 29, 2012: The Makers of Trojan™ Brand Condoms is taking pleasure and protection to the masses as the first-ever sexual health brand to sponsor one of the most watched music award shows – MTV's Video Music Awards. Coinciding with the launch of its newest condom innovation, Trojan® Charged™, Trojan™ will help kick off the 2012 VMAs with a 360° campaign starting with the 2012 mtvU VMA Tour and ultimately culminating at the show, which airs LIVE on MTV from the STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, Thursday, September 6th at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT.


The makers of Trojan™ Brand Condoms and MTV have partnered to provide fans with unique and innovative experiences to engage with the VMAs. Trojan™ Brand Condoms will help build excitement for the big night through a series of local market concerts with the mtvU VMA Tour, a robust on-air, digital, mobile and social media campaign, the exclusive experience of walking the VMA red carpet with the Trojan™ Charged™ Cam and the first-ever enhanced viewing of the VMAs in real-time at the Trojan™ Charged™ Intensified VMA Viewing Party.

Bringing Intensified Pleasure to the mtvU VMA Tour
Earlier this month, Trojan™ brought the pleasure to the mtvU VMA Tour, which featured some of the hottest names in music, including headliners Wiz Khalifa and Mac Miller, alongside Lamar, Chiddy Bang, Schoolboy Q, Chevy Woods and Boaz. The tour hit three major cities, including Khalifa and Miller’s hometown of Pittsburgh, giving concert-goers the chance to attend the VMAs by entering the “Get it On at the 2012 VMAs” sweepstakes at the Trojan™ Brand Condoms booth and sampling Trojan™ Charged™ Condoms.


Getting Fans Excited for the VMAs
To bridge the time between the mtvU VMA Tour and the VMAs, MTV and Trojan™ Brand Condoms have executed a 360° content plan, including on-air, digital, mobile, social and robust on-the-ground activations that are sure to arouse the MTV audience. MTV and Trojan™ Brand Condoms recently launched a custom co-branded promo spot and in September, will feature two on-air packages bringing all the action to fans at home. In addition, the excitement of the mtvU VMA Tour will be shared with fans online via a Trojan™ Brand Condoms photo flipbook.


Sky Blu Charges the VMA Red Carpet
During the VMA Pre-Show, Sky Blu of LMFAO will make his red carpet debut wearing a "Trojan® Charged™ Cam" to provide fans with an exclusive first-person perspective of what it's like to walk this year's red carpet. Sky Blu, who recently released the sultry, fist-pumping #SexSong (hashtag sex song) featuring Mark Rosas of Big Bad University, will let Americans in on the action as he walks the carpet, poses for pictures, talks to other celebrities and takes in the intensity of the most exciting red carpet in Hollywood. During the “2012 MTV Video Music Awards,” 600 fans will get the chance to watch an enhanced screening of the VMAs LIVE like never before.
